Why the QBFL matters

  • Player pipeline – Bantam AAA is the last community-club stop before Midget AAA / cégep programs; many alumni suit up for U Sports powerhouses like Laval or Montréal.

  • Community-run clubs – Each team is a non-profit association, relying on volunteer coaches and fund-raising, which keeps costs manageable for families.

  • Skill development – The league mandates certified coaching, Safe-Contact tackling, and baseline athletic-testing, so players arrive at the next level technically sound.
